Very Quick Flap Question

Guys how do I tell 1. If I have flaps installed and 2. If they are set to open.

I used to be running them with the correct thermostat but since having the engine re-build the thermostat is no longer fitted.

Just want to be sure that im not driving along with the flaps closed.

you should be able to see the cheese head screws holding the flap mechs both sides above the cylinder tin on the fan shroud.

if you feel around the back - you'll be able to hopefully feel the mechanisms lever, feel round some more [from the right hand side] just past the fan opening, there should be a return spring this holds the flaps open.

well I think that's how it works!
