thinking of getting a vinyl sunroof put in my 72 crossover tintop (to cover middle 3rd of van)

anyone got any viewS on this ??
am I just asking for rust probs or is it recommended??

:?: :?: :? :?

NOOOOOooooooooo...

you have an un molested tin top....if you knew how long i was looking for a quality tin top.....

Its your van fella look at what your wanting to do with it and if it makes sense then go for it as your posting this thread you are already aware of the potential/very likely probs...increased road noise and reduced rigidity (hence the belly pans) or do you have them fitted already? rust and water ingress!!!!

think carefully before cutting that roof

I would not even dream of it to be honest - these buses have got the stage in their lives where I believe we should not really be chopping them about (just my view) but hey its your van. if it was me i would buy a knackered devon pop=top camper and convert that

good luck though whateve you decide

have to say i agree dont cut a tintop plenty of campers with leaky roofs that would benefit from a rag top someones fitted a glass sunroof in my tintop previously im guessing mid seventies and it leaks like a sive im in the process of removing and plating it back to solid roof dont do it :D
