Anybody got one of these from the VW museum? You know the things that cost about £30 and give you a build date with a few details about your van.
I just wondered what you got and what info was included.

you get a birth certificate, not a lot, though it gives you some details but not everything, the M-plate I found more informative.

I suppose if you have a bus with a **** load of extras it will look fairly impressive....

Cool. I don't have a history with our van so it would be quite nice to build one. I think I heard somewhere that you can apply for the previous owners of a vehicle as well so thought I may do that then send them a letter each with a bit of info, let them know their old van is still on the road and see if they have any stories or photos they could share.

I got in touch with previous owners that way and got sent stories and photos. The wife loves it when the camper history comes out but always seems to take the dog for a really long walk!!

how do you find out the previous owners? of the 12 previous with my camper, i'd like to kick one in the arse for some of the bodging but the history would be great if the others did not mind!

I have to admit that it would be interesting to know who it was decided to bare metal half the bus while leaving the OE paint on the other half before they painted it naff blue. Lazy or what!

i think i might get the previous owners list!same with mine missing interior, missing badges n m-codes :( one of the 12 must have something!
