Does anyone know of a good gearbox specialist, i've just imported a 1970 bay into the UK and am currently building a new engine for it, as its all out i thought id get someone to have a look at the box and see what kind of condition its in and give it a once over

any help would be greatly received, i don't fancy doing this myself.

Cogbox in North West London are your best bet. Search for Cogbox transmissions online.
My box is with them at the moment...

Many thanks,

I guess it depends on what it needs but did you get any rough prices if you don't mind me asking?

At will be a few hundred quid for a rebuild with welded 3rd and 4th. Its best to call them as they dont really do emails.

what benifit does this give you :)

I will be running a big motor so am getting my 1302S box rebuilt to handle the power which is going to be about four times more than standard :)

I'm going up to 1641 with a scat c25 and twin port heads so I'd hope to get up to 70hp if possible, I'm hoping that the standard box should be able to handle that no problem I just need someone to check that the box isn't a bag of scrap metal.
