Not sure if you do the name and shame thing on here (apologies if you don't) but I thought I better warn you guys out of safety.

I fitted brand new front wheel cylinders from GSF branded as BRAX and they lasted just a few miles before leaking all over the brand new shoes I'd also fitted. The van started pulling to one side under braking and was really hard to control when braking... I wished I hadn't penny pinched and payed the extra for the ATE cylinders, that said a well know chain like GSF shouldn't be selling crap brake components regardless of price

Where do I stand with returning these parts with GSF has anyone had to do this before?

I've sent them an email to start with as I haven't the time to go in branch yet. Hopefully they will give me some idea of where I stand and company policy.

It's a double edge sword really, I love the fact there are people out there like GSf selling parts for these old vans at competitive prices but then I don't want to kill myself due to a faulty part because it was really cheaply made, there has to be some middle ground somewhere

Cheap pattern parts can be awful junk, but do and have served a purpose through the years ... generally I try and go for German/German Quality or genuine stuff wherever possible.

GSF have a decent returns service, and items must be for for purpose, however, you'll get nowhere till youve returned the item to them. Pop in, have a friendly chat and Ill be suprised if it isnt sorted out for you.

GSF head office just phoned me and are taking it very seriously and want to collect the parts to inspect so will let you know how it goes said it the first they have heard of a problem
