saw this a while ago when I was measuring out the garage - as I'm crap in "old money" I assume 80,12'' is 80 inches and 12 somethings ( ) - converted = 203.5 centimeters :?:

Hi Wensbry,
Mine comes in at 80.5 inches at it's highest point, which is the front edge of the integral roof rack. I have just converted my garage up-and-over door to a side opening door and need to lower the old girl a bit as well to clear the wood under the lintel.

Hope this helps,

James

slam it, problem solved :D

Gadget boy @ MEB is on the case at the moment....not sure by how much (I've heard he's a bit of a slam fan)

This is what I have done to my door as of last Saturday, with help from my neighbour who also has bay.....

A lot of careful measuring, 3 strong B&Q hinges and more measuring!!

The Westy still needs to be lowered to clear the top but it has gained me about 7 inches in height...

I have the same problem, lowest part of garage door is dead on 2m, might have to let the air out the tyres to get it in for winter, or load it up with bags of sand  to compress the suspension enough for that insh drop required.

Sounds like the same hieght as my door Westy. My neighbours Bay is a tin top and goes in and out of his garage no problem, although it is lowered slightly.

If lowering doesn't give me enough clearance to have a bit of free space I am going to let the tyres down, just to give me an extra bit of clearance :D ...then pump them back up again when stored in the garage - with a BIG sign on the door to remind me to deflate them before driving out!!!

One spline on the rear and equivalent drop at the front should mean I will clear it with no problem...
