I am currently painting my poptop luggage rack and had a non-critical question. Does anyone know what the two holes on the luggage rack are for, or were they added by a PO? They are on frontside and backside top.

Nice job you've done there, but sorry no idea about the holes?? I have not got any in mine, nor have i seen any before?? :?

Perhaps the previous owner cut them for some reason.
 
There's also a metal rod that was fiberglassed in on the inside of one side wall. Wonder what they had going on up there.

BTW...here's the real "before" photo. The other was after scrubbing.

re the holes, not seen them before, gotta be a "personal upgrade"
maybe it use to be a submarine and that was the periscope hole?
