Having problems getting the front seal to fit evenly between pop top and roof of camper. The seal is nice and tight to the van on both corners and in the middle of the screen where the spring clip is however between either corner and the spring clip the seal is pulling away from the steel roof leaving a gap of @ 10mm. Has any one had this problem or any ideas. Camper is a 72 crossover us import.
I can't work out how to load pics but can email if anyone can help
Thanks

Is the seal pulled tight against the fibreglass? In the past I've seen where the fibreglass wasn't parallel to the steel roof. This can happen if the roof has been off the vehicle and rested against a wall or similar, as the fibreglass can relax as it's not taking the loads in the same way as when it's fitted to a roof.

What I've had to do in this situation is to fit the seals so that they aren't fully seated in the U channel. Hopefully this helps in some way :)

Yes the seal is tight to the fibreglass unfortunately run out of fibreglass before the seal touches the roof. We had the roof leant against a wall for a while so looks like that's wasnt a good idea. It's looking like roof off and glass in a stiffener to get it back to shape
Thanks for the reply

Don't be in a rush. Leave it on the roof without the seal while it's hot like this as it may go back to shape. If you glass I a reinforcing rib it may actually hold it from going back to shape. If it won't go back, lay it on the roof and lay a pencil against the metal so you can draw a line to high lite the high spots on the roof, then start to cautiously sand these areas back, stopping repeatedly to check if it fits well enough. Don't be tempted to go to mad as the tiniest nub of extra GRP can make a giant gap appear.
