What can I use to replace the engine soundproofing, the stuff above the engine in the engine bay

mines all bowed and needs tidying up

My bus (68) has never had any soundproofing above the engine either, there must be something we could use  Long motorway journeys get a bit tiring listening to the engine working hard :(

mine more of the case that its sagging badly and just looks crap

but i would put some dynamat or similar on the underneath before i replace the tarboard, just need to know what replacement peeps have used for the tarboard

Hi Gary. Hope you and the family had a good Christmas.

I have the same problem and was thinking of using dynomat under the rear cushion to help with noise reduction. Let me know if yo have any better ideas.

you could always try something like this Gary

http://www.frost.co.uk/item_Detail.asp?productID=8689&frostProductName=Sound+Deadening+Pad+(200x500mm" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;)&catID=13&subCatID=20&FrostCat=Bodywork&FrostSubcat=Tools

or this looks good too
