got told not to use gl5. my box was crappy shift on that. switched to gl4 80-90 and happy days since

Lucas, is great if you have a bit of worn box (thats most of us I guess!)....its great stuff!

VW specify GL4, however GL5 is a newer blend that was not available at the time. Straight GL5 is not good for brass synchros which is why they reworked it to GL5 - MT1 which will work. I prefer the GL4 and add Molyslip to make it last.
