just priced up to make a new loom for my bus £200 ,this is everything inclueding extra wires from back to front. only thing i havnt done is planned for converting from dynamo to alternator ???? .while searching ebay for cable i found this
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/221227506373?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
have any of you guys used one .i have mulled over repairing the old loom but its a mess and i dont think its worth repareing

There was a thread recently about looms and making your own.
A chap who had both fitted a pre made and made his own said he would defiantly recommend making his own.
Foz ended up having an Auto electrician repair his and not fit the new one.

You essentially join the wires up direct and by-pass the voltage regulator.
Green 'dash light wire and main red wire get joined up direct rather than going through the VR.

cheers for that, just about to order terminals and sleeving, would you use insulated or non insulated as when they were built ????

For safety I say insulated, you could always get non insulated and then buy some heat shrink so that it's super neat.

And FFS use a heat gun to shrink the heat shrink, not as soldering iron or *** lighter as some do.

If you are wrapping the loom, use non adhesive wrap for this and just a little bit is sticky tape at the ends. Label everything and make a mock up using washing line and nails.

Good luck!

Thanks for tips, ime gunna use the same type sleeping for main loom (not keen on tape) the areas behind dash I will use spiral once it's all in place. I haven't got the whole loom to make a template as it was damaged by fire and bogged in the past so will leave extra for the engine bay ,run cables then wrap it .looking forward to doing it apart from dash lol

Don't run them through without wrapping them. You'll end up with potential issues if you don't wrap the loom front to back with chaffing (oh er!) where it passes through the chassis member and clips! :msn4:
