What were these holes?

What were these holes?

There were 7 of these holes in the rear valence they were a perfect round looks like they were pressed out and evenly spaced.
Did someone just put them in there to aid cooling? :?: :? [/img]

No they were around 1" round, They have been filled in now so i surpose they do look like gaint plug welds now.

Probably for some sort of trim plate? I have seen a few people who have put stainless plate or the like over the valence to "trim it up"! custom looks etc 8)
