Hi, yes, excuse my ignorance but I'd like to know what this is and where the tubes coming from it attach to. Thanks in advance.

It's a carbon can, fitted for us emissions regs.
One pipe should go to the fan housing to allow air to be pushed through it. The others should be breathers from the crankcase and petrol tank. The exit pipe usually goes to the air filter where the fumes are burned off in the engine.
