Im currently running 5.5 BRMs on the front of my bus, and was wondering while looking around for a spare if fitting 4.5s to the front will make any differance in the track.
Ive a suspision that the extra inch is lost in the rim and the wheels would sit in my arches the same as 5.5????????????? is that correct or will i possibly lose 1/2 inch in track per side?

Basically if it tucks them in alittle its good and if it dosent i may aswell stick with 5.5.

im sure they take it from the rim, the "face " of the brm is almost at the rim on a 4.5 but on a 5.5 you have a gap so it looks slightly dished.
it should help with clearence :D

As the man above said. As the extra width is on the outside of the hub as opposed to the inside you won't lose any track so to speak, but will end up with wheels which look more tucked. Obviously this is assuming that 4.5 and 5.5 wheels have the same or a very similar ET.
