I've had the fuel tank and filler pipe out of my 71 and I'm not far away from wanting to put it back in.

I'm looking to buy new mounting pads for the fuel tank, a gasket for the filler pipe and the gasket/seal for the firewall.

Any ideas of anyone who stock these items? I've had a look around and can't seem to find anywhere that sell them.

Good plan. Still need to find a gasket for the filler pipe to attach to the body though.

When I did this on my beetle (a long time ago) I used the tube of a car tyre (inner tube).
Cut to size and then used as gasket, very thin film of glue on both sides.
Used Bostik in those days mind you it was South Africa, so we had to make a plan as parts were not that easy to come by with only pocket money.  Worked though and never leaked, or moved.

I need to make a gasket for the fuel neck also & wondered where to get one.

I'd thought about using an old inner tube, but then thought - hang on that's a bit rough!

But if one's not available, it looks like it may be the way forward????

I might give Justin at C&C a call to see if he sells them. Could pick it up at Dubfreeze then.
