i need my member number for my insurance policy, anyone know how i can get it ?

To my knowledge we do not have member numbers.

Most insurers and brokers accept that you are a member on the strength of your word. Yeh, I know, odd isn't it, but there you go. :D

^ this.

The numbers on the memberlist are simply "row numbers", so depending on the filter/sort order the column titled "#" changes.

Your "member number" can be found by going to the "View your posts" and clicking on your own username in the "author" column (assuming you've started your own thread at some point, e.g. this one ;) )

Once your profile has loaded you need to look at the url and your "member number" is the bit following the "u="

For example, here's mine

Your member number is the first column.

You need to find out when you joined (you can find this by clicking your username). Then go to member list and sort chronologically by 'join date', find that date by browsing through the pages (slow and painful sorry). If you joined late start from the back and work your way to the start.

Bin Jammin is No.1

I thought the surrogate key was more accurate/important than a calculated one (that is non-deterministic)...
