Sounds brilliant, check your oil before you go, check after about ten miles and feel the dip stick when you is doin it then check after 20 miles then forty ish then a hundred etc etc and get used to how much oil your bus is likely to use especially if there are hills involved then gradually reduce the oil check frequency once you know what you`ll likely use / lose 
That does sound like over kill, but it might be the first camping trip, it might be the first long journey, it might be the first trip fully loaded, all the things that are likely to increase your oil consumption. It`s well worth doing that ^^^ more so than the big yellow taxi, and the `Who`s got a motor for sale` adverts. Order some sunshine and off you go 8)
