I'm really starting to get pissed off with people hacking up vans to create a total disaster. I'm no purist by any means but this is taking the piss. You would see it quite often in Oz but I thought the English had better taste.

years ago there was a company called `bay-splits` they produced a fibreglass split front that fitted on to the front of a bay ......pretty sure thats what this is ..

Yep definitely a baysplit, looks like this was done pretty well. Volksworld ran a feature on them I think, I seem to remember a yellow and black one, but could be completely wrong.

Funny how times change, when "Bay-Splits" where going with their idea, the Bay was considered the ugly duckling and worthless, the wedge even held the trump card as being more modern! I remember asking a couple of the the big advertisers on here and elswhere if they had any idea how to lower a Bay, the response "why would you want to do that?" :? (it was 20 years ago). As we all know, It looks F**Kin' Cool . Some of the people that held that somewhat snobby attitude still work in the industry and I think one or more actually own Bay's now! Funny how times change (damn I'm getting old, sure I just said that) :lol:

We spotted a yellow bay in Peranporth in the summer with the same front end as this (although it was running a scooby motor), & even my 8 year old pointed in disgust & asked why?????????????????????
