Hia. Thanks for the join. This is me and our 69 westy ..https://youtu.be/NgmWSFW-fOU" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;.
Hubby hurt his hand so I said I'll fit the engine, surely not that hard. Even easier than fitting my beetle engine. Thanks again

Great video - my wifelet usually only passes me cups of coffee or beers when I am working on the bus, never mind helps with the installation. Maybe overalls would be more suitable in future - for the cameraman

Where on earth did you find her - I would love to have one like her :D

Thanks, we've both picked bits up over 4 years of owning vw's. She really loves engines and welding! And as she wants to drag her beetle she thinks she should know the basics. So this is her first engine build sort of on her own. Let's see if it starts

hia, my engine update. after turning over to get the oil light out. he runs!!! she built this engine from the ground up herself. very proud.

new ground crank/bearings to remove endfloat
lapped the vavles in.
rebuilt on her own, with good info from Ady(thanks for endfloat shims )
installed on her own due to my arm injury. I do believe we read to much into engine building, Katie found most info on you tube to be sort of helpful. BUT so many different ideas out there, so mainly the manual.

hope you like see you around maybe
