Hi All

Seem to have a few things that have just stopped working recently.....although it seems to be part of the fun of ownership believe!

Wipers suddenly stopped the other day. Worked one minute when I pulled the switch....10 mins later nothing. All fuses seem fine..... What would people suggest I check next / is there a common failure area?

Cheers
Craig

Any squeaking noises? I've had to strip 3 down so far in my relatively short time mucking about with these- the wiper drive shafts had all seized in their brass guides (as it passes through the bodywork). Can you "assist" it to get it moving again, like an old mini?

Well that's the strange thing.... They did work fine with no noise, then didn't work! Wasn't sure if the switch itself was an item that failed? I did see the wiper motor assembly when looking under the dash....but hope not to be going there [PENSIVE FACE]

Yup, it's a massive pain in the bum getting that thing out. Take a look at the switch & with a wee jumper wire, try connecting pole 30 (black) to pole 53 or 53b (black, black and yellow). If your switch is busted, the wipers should work on both. If not, get yourself a multimeter :)
