One for the Sparkies out there. I am wiring in an socket inside my Westy wardrobe which will be able to be plugged in using an extension lead on the campsite. I know the internal lead worked when i had a normal three socket bit on the end, but since i cut it off and tried to wire it to a new two socket unit in the wardrobe it does not work. Is it something to do with earthing it (see attached photo)? If so, how do i do this?
Any advice gratefully received.
Thanks

hello
looks fine right colours to the right terminals
have you checked that the terminal screws are tightening down onto the copper cores of the cable
and not onto the insulation !

You've got the right leads to the right terminals (assuming you have bared them correctly).

So where does the cable go? What's it connected to at the other end?

Do you have a meter?

Nick

That end looks fine, need to see the other end or any connection, fuses etc inbetween.

Get some more pictures up and maybe able to help.

If it worked with the socket on there before and not now i would suspect the socket to be at fault.

( assuming nothing else has changed and nothing has tripped. )

Had them before with power at rear terminals but faulty switch and no power in sockets..
