    69 Deluxe Microbus 8 seater 6 rib box & 2110cc motor 11k ono

Now on eBay! Item number 130714788458 Will also consider sensible offers via earlybay bearing in mind that I have invested over 7k in the engine ancillarys, suspension etc so you'll be getting a lot of van for the money. Also this engine is better on fuel than my old 1600 motor. Not sure if...

    Engine and Gearbox swap.

Only problem I can think of is if the 2L engine is for a beetle only in which case you will need a mounting adapter but this may get in the way of a full flow system but you could probably get around that easier enough! Also place a wanted ad on here for a 2L box. You may get lucky. I did!

Cheers Phil, I forgot to ask, are you running a narrowed or standard width beam?

Thanks to all those that replied with some ideas. My brother has some low profile tyres on 14" rims so I'm gonna refit the spax shocks as suggested and try those and see if we get any rub!!

Yours is narrowed though isn't it? That will give a little more clearance than my stock beam. I wonder if I should have stuck with the weedeater beam? Oh well too late now.

Are you running Transporterhaus spindles? It would be good to hear what other guys are using with their spindles and what the ride is like.

Thanks for your help Jim, I will look into that. Can anyone running 14" rims suggest a suitable tyre size? I guess I could drop into the local tyre shop and ask for an equivalent diameter.

I bought them from Transporterhaus. O.E. Brand by FPD is written on the packaging!

Thanks for that!!! Only problem with standard suspension is the amount of body roll when going round even a gradual bend at anything over 20mph and the height of a standard van is just ridiculous IMHO.
