I had a similar problem on my previous van literally for years, brakes would get so hot you could fry and egg on the hubcap, only way I could release the brakes was to crack the bleed nut let some fluid out and reduce the pressure - I lost count of how many times I had to do this under the van...

Do you use regular fuel hose to join the tank to breather tube & pipe, I can't physically get it to fit on? The breather tube/pipe etc are much bigger than the standard fuel hose diameter. I'm considering buying some bigger fuel hose to do the job. ??? Simon

I had a 67 tintop Split in similar condition, was fine but needed a load of money spending on it in the next few years. Had a few bays in the past so new i wanted another dormobile like the interior & loads of head room when roof popped etc. Bought an early dormy 2 years ago and have no regrets...

That picture of the van with front cut off is seriously distressing, fingers crossed his legs can be saved. I've often joked about being the crumple zone, this shows how true it actually is, barely a scratch on the 'modern' Renault van... S.

After an early bay slider handle - must be an original vw stamped one with half descent chrome, and the grub screw not totally mullered as I'll need to get it out to set the wafers to my key. Anyone?? Ta, Simon

I have a seatbelt on the L/H side which doesn't get in the way, the strap is on the outside of the bench and the buckle bit stays underneath when not in use - my daughter seat is nice and solid on there, and a lap-belt on R/H seat. However baby no.2 is on the way so I need a second 3-point belt...
