    Heat exchanger flap levers.

So the arms that fitted to your old exchanger. Were they changeable or have they broken off and not replaceable?

    Heat exchanger flap levers.

Thanks for the replies. Still not got it. The actual arm that attaches to the exchanger. Is it welded on ie. Part of the exchanger itself or can a new arm from a kit be screwed/ bolted on? Cheers.

    Heat exchanger flap levers.

On one side the lever has come off the heat exchanger completely. Is it a case of simply buying a new lever assembly and fitting to the exchanger or are the levers actually part of the exchanger itself and therefore a new exchanger is needed? Thanks.

What is my van and roof!

My van is a 1971 Westfalia CampMobile imported from New Mexico at the start of 2009. Unfortunately there is very little history to the camper. The roof however, having looked around, seems more similar to a Devon elevation than a Westy pop top. Judging by the pictures what do you guys think?

Brakes seizing on and then no brakes at all!

Hi 1971 Westie. Having a problem of no brakes! After several trips I've noticed that when pulling up heavy / sharp, the brakes will lock on - I can tell this by the loss of power, the smell and when pulling up, the camper comes to an abrupt stop on its own. Sometimes they free themselves but...

    Cab Curtains

Thanks guys and nice steering wheel Bwuttonmoon - that's thhe next job! We've got 2 80" curtains for the cab so may well go for the rail and stop it either side of the rear view mirror. Got thermals for all the windows so won't really matter if there's a tiny gap between the 2

    Cab Curtains

Cool, thanks for the reply. Rest of the windows are on curtain wire and this will not be possible to fix around the windscreen because it will hinder the draw of the curtains.I would like them around the window to alow us more space. Will have to weigh up between studs and a rail. Any thoughts...

    Cab Curtains

Just a quick questions for my first post to this great forum. Tried a quick search but I am impatient and just want to get back to working on my van. What is the best way to curtain the cab area of a T2? Do the curtains go straight across the van behind the driver and passenger seat or do they...
