Gearbox recon recommendations

Hi. Any suggestions for where I can get a good reconditioned gearbox to suit a 1600 Type 1 engine? I’m based in the UK Midlands so somewhere nearby would be great.

Do you have one to use as a core?
You could try John Walklett, Classic VW Transmissions, he's in Knutton nr Newcastle under Lyme.

Thanks, I’ll try John. I don’t have a gearbox so need to find one to recondition

Cogbox in Northolt, don’t waste your time with any one else. Pete will be able to supply a core and built to spec for you.
