Thanks for the reply Daz. I didn't get any warning lights coming on, so I will get hold of a compression tester and hope for the best.

    Is my engine FUBAR

I think my engine is knackered. It's not been running well for sometime, poor idling, fuel leak, major oil leak on left rocker cover, stalling at every junction etc etc to name a few problems I have had and sorted over last few months Then a few weeks ago we were out in it and during our...

    Mirrors

Do you have the plastic washers inplace between the mirror fitting and door and also the springs in the mirror mount? I had problems with my old mirrors that were missing both washers and springs but since I replaced them for new mirrors they stay solid as a rock at motorway speeds. I can...

    a question of Fridges

It's probably been covered before but can you route the fridge flue via the vent pipe that goes from the sink unit through the roof on the westy ? Probably some obvious reason why but I would like to fit a 3 way fridge in mine in the original location rather than cutting a hole in the side of...

    Fuel pump connections

That's good in one sense that it's the right way round (wasn't 100% sure as I have found some bizarre stuff done by a supposed top American engine builder) but it doesn't help in my quest to get it running half decent.

    Fuel pump connections

Maybe a daft question but trying to get the van running reasonably as supposed to be camping in it tomorrow night and trying to cover all bases, just after some confirmation on which way round the fuel hoses connect on the fuel pump, it's a brosol version ona 71 model engine, currently has hose...

Can anyone recommend a garage in the Yeovil area, as the van is running like a bag of shite at the moment, so want to get a professional to sort it out as I need it to be reliable by early October as the other half wants to use it as our wedding car, so I will be entrusting the driving to a...

    stupid prices

There's a late bay on eBay up for starting price of £27,000, some restoration company trying to sell one of their show models. Just have a look at the rcc imports website for stupid prices. But that's nothing compared with some, my mate has just sold his 23 window samba shell (no engine or...

No definitely not the battery, I tested that and got 12.8volts also put it on charge just incase and the charger dropped right down as it didn't need much. I have got it running now, possibly a faulty ignition switch as I had the ignition cowling apart and was testing the wiring with a multi...

Wanted for crimes to Bay windows!!!

The company or person responsible for this conversion That is one ugly hightop conversion, luckily it's not on an early, I thought I had seen some bad ones on T25's, almost dropped my ice cream when I saw it. P.S. Sorry if it's owned by one of our members, no offence mean't.

    recommend me a wheel clamp>

I don't think ease of use and secure go hand in hand. I use a bulldog nemesis which is good but an pain to fit, it's sold secure and thatcham approved, shop around and you should get one for £80ish
