Does this look right? If so I'm assuming the vertical outlet is to the carb and horizontal to fuel tank?

i think there are two types ,one for dynamo and one for alternator, that looks like a dynamo one to me but i could be wrong ,usually am !!!!!!

Think its the other way around, the horizontal 1 is for the carb as its ontop of the diaphragm and the vetical 1 is from the tank, although i have been known to be wrong on a few occassions (all the time if you ask the wife  )

I've just fitted one...after breaking one
There is a difference!

When you take the old pump off you will see there is a pin poking up, this goes up and down off the cam, when you take the pump off you will see it. These pins come in two sizes, the one that works with a dynamo is slightly longer if i remember correctly. This means your pump will have the arm at the bottom hanging down slightly less. On the alternator one it hangs down more so the pin is shorter...anyway i digress, it doesn't matter as you can use either, just make sure you use the right combo, or you will damage the diaphragm

Oh and make sure you get those hoses on right or the pump will run dry and also damage the diaphragm.

Mine had a very, very, very! subtle arrow engraved on the top showing the inlet.

hope this helps
Al
