I was thinking of going for a disposable plastic filter!!! Will this be a problem running an electric fuel pump though??

Hi it's a 2 ltr engine, although the camper started out with a 1700cc engine, I guess the 1700 & 2ltr will have the same oil filler neck etc? I think at some point some one has had a go at a quick fix hence the jubilee clip! Its a good job all these little problems have appeared this week...

Hi, It was originally a 1700cc engine, as their is no access through the engine inspection panel! At some point either in the US or over here a 2 ltr engine has been installed, twin carb set up. Ill be looking at getting it sorted tomorrow hopefully, so if it turns out to be a us spec part/...

Sorry, Imeant to say its the paper filter inside the glass case. It looks like the upturned bell jar type.. Located on the left hand side rear of the engine bay

Hi Alistair, Just realised my post doesn't make a huge amount of sense! So the carb and manifold that is available for a swap is a single port 1600cc carb and manifold set up! the carb is a vw solex The 2ltr set up is in my van and is staying there!! Sorry for any confusion, Ryan :D
