    Sherbie

View from the Rock N Roller, So, a small shelf directly above the fridge, probably use some of the same top but scavenged out and scalloped to reduce it.. Then there’s a gap to the left and to the right. So on the right, behind the driver’s seat, I have enough space width ways to fit my one...

    Sherbie

So I’ve trimmed the top almost to size, not sure if I want to reduce how much it punches into the space between the seats. The latest idea, is to form another shelf above the fridge with a 50/50 opening from the cab and from the van interior. Might even hide away my C.B. Inside it and have a...

    Sherbie

Then I’ve got the fridge mocked up but not got any wiring to it yet. Nick has got me a nice little fuse box and a split charge relay and a little charging point with a *** lighter style plug, a couple of USB outlets and a charge indicator that tells you if everything is charging (or not) . So...

    Sherbie

So here’s my tactical change of plans. I accidentally came across this brand new fridge over on the LateBay and it’s a super duper type that you can take the motor and running gear off and pop it elsewhere in another cupboard for instance thus allowing you to reduce the amount the fridge sticks...

    Crappy Year

Cold weather had no effect on me or my enthusiasm for a long long time, however cold weather can take the edge off it for me now and I tend to think about things a lot more than actually doing them. In my mind that’s stuff getting done at lightening speed because I’ve had a real deep and...

    FBH fuel tank location…

That’s exactly my plan too , except I’m gonna try and get mine under the passenger seat. Does seem a little crazy that I’m having the tank behind the passenger seat and the heater under it too then have the diesel pipe go through the floor and back up again. But if that joint leaks, it’ll leak...

    Blades.

There’s quite a range of blades available it would seem and that’s in my extremely limited experience. I went to Toolstation who do most of them from various different brands all doing various different grades and variations. It would seem you can buy blades for a couple of quid each in packs of...

    Blades.

Just bought myself a second hand Milwaukee hackzall and a sawzall as well. Quite sure they were genuine and not stolen as the chap works with people I know and is lowering his tool quota as he retires and divorces all at the same time. But the dilemma here, is what blades do people use if...

    Camping heat, gas or diesel????

I honestly wouldn’t bother mate. If it’s that cold, do you really wanna go camping ? If you’re on your own, don’t put the roof up for a night. If there’s loads of you, that’ll be more body heat with more people. Get a little Chinese diesel heater if you’re really concerned and that’ll take up...

    Camping heat, gas or diesel????

I’ve got a thermal wrap made for me by Rainbow. I’ve got the wrap for my pop top that’s a late model Devon, I also have the thermal wrap for the two front cab windows and screen all in one plus one for the tailgate glass. Yes it does make a lot of difference but I just don’t get it out if it’s...

    Indicator beeps horn!

I reckon you’re just showing off that you got a horn that works off the column. I’ve made umpteen unsuccessful attempts to sort mine and run with a switch under the dash, it throws me everrrrry time. The horn is permanently fed live once the ignition is on and the horn earths through the column...

    Camping heat, gas or diesel????

Great idea. I was writing that above ^^^ and then afterwards I thought about it, I’ve never cleaned the totem pole or the vents on mine so there could be fifty plus years of dust down there or pens and pencils or snack wrappers or even windscreen glass. I’ve got an old vacuum in the garage that...
