New kindle , can you recommend a book

All time favourite is 'The Count of Monte Cristo' by Alexandre Dumas. Best read lately is the 'Millennium Trilogy' by Steig Larsson. Also enjoy the 'Wallander' detective books by Henning Mankel. If you're after something thought-provoking then you can't go wrong with anything by Christopher...

    Restoring my '71 bay

I'm glad everything seems to be on the up for you and the family - great to have the van MOT'd but even better to have your sons' illness (hopefully) under control. :D :D ;)

    Torsion Arm Quesiton - Caps?!

Just slide a bit of thin steel bar (or similar) down there and whack them off - watch out though as they can really travel so you need to keep an eye on where they go (ask me how I know...). I'd go for the chamfering option - that's going to make life very much easier... ;)

    Torsion Arm Quesiton - Caps?!

If you're careful and use a suitable sized socket as a drift you might be able to get them back in - mine were fine but took some perseverance (sp)! ;)

    How big is your bed???

I'm pretty sure I'm going to build a full-width bed for the van as I'm quite a big chap ( ) - but I wondered how many have 3/4 width bed setups. Also, I wondered what folks do about cooking etc if they have a full-width bed (stick a porta-hob on the table...etc). Poll attached... ;)

Anyone got internal van diagram with dimensions?

Of course, I could just go out to the garage  but I wondered if anyone had a diagram of the inside (bulkhead back) of a van with measurements on it - I'm sure I saw one posted on here a while back... ;)

    Zig unit alternatives?

I thought that Zig units were way too expensive when I was sourcing bits so I went for an ex-caravan leisure battery charger/12v supply and alternative distribution panel/fuse box - both seem pretty well made and good value. Your local caravan breakers or Fleabay could come up trumps. ;)
