    Wiring in an additional fusebox?

Fuses must relate to the current carrying capacity of the cable it feeds not what the 'appliances' can draw. No-one cares (too much) about a blown fuse but you don't wnat your wire/cable to overheat/burn-out. JS

    weber carb advice

If your a bit spanner handy and especially if the current set-up is troublesome I would say get some. If you're generally happy with what you have and fuel consumption seems ok then I might think twice. Performance improvements are noticeable but 400 quid (approx) buys a lot of fuel... JS

oh dear, twin carb diagram extrodinaire !

If you tap your own manifolds for the balancer pipe barbs be sure to grease your tool (sorry couldn't resist). The alloy is soft and so 'tears' rather than cutting cleanly if you don't - I didn't.. JS

Pics of pedal belly pan fitted?

Factory pans are welded on (unless you mean the under-pedal thingy) which uses M6 I think.. .. the same sort as used by the rear valance. Cheers JS

    easy-life campsite - suggestions wanted

Hi All My Mrs is not a keen camper so that means me and my two boys ( 4 & 6) get to go away solo. My needs are few but I need to keep an eye on the scallywags. So any suggestions for small sites with a play area in the middle where the chaps can carry-on while I cook bbq food read the paper and...

    is this really bad

Difficult to say, but probably not that bad.. Has it been using much oil recently or is that just the cumulation of a small leak over 2 years ? Any end float ? Can you identify the source of the leak ? Might be that you can change all the obvious seals (oil cooler, crankshaft, pushrods etc..)...

    sealing fridge flue

You you might think so but the fitting instructions only call for sealant on the exterior flange to bodywork face. Also the so-called lazy T is completely open to air on the down side this presumably to create an updraft somehow. Next purchase will be a CO alarm/monitor I think ! BR JS

    bubbles

Go old school.. utter bodgers will use filler on cardboard backing or what have you. For a medium term solution use fibre-glass on top of aluminium mesh. As said get the real rot out first and treat with Kurust (phosphoric acid ?) to neutarlise the rust as far as poss. The glass resin should do...

    sealing fridge flue

Hi All Final stages of fitting an RM122 and I was wondering about sealing the flue pipes from the 'lazy-t' to the outside. Given that the T is open one end, is it necessary to seal the pipe joints ? The flame of course is also open to the air so I'm guessing the principle is to 'catch and...

    New engine question

Hi there Just read through the thread. One question, have you driven one before ? Not a big problem but nothing like a modern vehicle especially the brakes. Most folk on here will undertake their own maintenance, as otherwise it can get expensive. If, once you have driven one, you are...

    Reducing fuel pressure at pump

Hi All Checked back but I can't find teh post which says how much pressure you can back-off at the pump with each additional gasket (0.25mm approx). Can anyone remember ? I'm trying to get rid of teh over-rich smell on my ICTs. Idle jet is already reduced.. Cheers JS
