Your expert advice required! Panel restoration!

If it was me, I would strip the paint back to bare metal to see if it has been repaired previously. If it is original metal and no serious rust I would try dent pullers and heat shrinking to remove the worst of the damage then skim with filler and repaint.

Anyone fitted a Huco electric fuel pump. If so what is the correct orientation, horizontal or vertical. If vertical does the inlet / outlet go at the top or the bottom? Thanks

    Fan Belt

I am in the process of finishing off the build of my new Autolinea engine. The set up has an alternator. The fan belt is loose (no shims), it has about an inch of play. Belt is currently a FB 11.3 x 912La. It was fitted to my previous engine but that still had a little more play than the...

    CSP Linkage

Kerlos - yes the oil holes in the bearing saddles were a little off. I notched the back of the bearings to compensate (as seen on YouTube).

    CSP Linkage

Building up my new engine. Went to fit the CSP carb linkage and found the engine block is not flat at the fitting point, so had to grind some of the metal away.

    Oil pressure issue

Been having a low oil pressure issue when the engine is warm, and oil leaks. Took the engine out yesterday using the new lift I modified. Stripped the engine down today and found that the oil cooler is loose. That would explain the oil leak. I am guessing that it could also be causing the low...

Just lately I have to log in every time I visit the forum even though I have ticked the "Remember Me" box. Is this affecting anyone else or just me?

    Engine Lift

subheatadey - Over time I noticed that when the engine gets up to operating temp, the oil warning light came on at idle, this progressed being full on below 1.5k revs. I then fitted an electronic oil temp gauge but because it reads in Bar I can't tell what pressure it is at idle. I then got...

    Engine Lift

I need to take out the bus engine to investigate the low oil pressure issue. My drive is on a slope so a trolley jack is difficult to use. So I bought a cheap motorbike stand and some heavy duty castors. Flipped the raise/lower mechanism so its on the bottom and doesn't get caught by the...

    1776cc pressure issue??

You need a Fram HP1 oil filter, these have an internal bypass to prevent high pressure surges from blowing the filter.
