    Tracking

Spoke to the guy and he said its because they don't have a 4 post ramp to get the bus up in the air, he recommended ATS which is pretty close but Ill have to keep an eye on what they are doing in case they try and jack it up somewhere stupid. God knows what he was on about the first time I spoke...

    Tracking

I'm very slightly lowered but running stock wheels/tyres and he didn't even look underneath. I have a Red9 wishbone setup so fully adjustable track ends on both sides. I'll have to ring him to explain again, I don't understand.

    Tracking

I went to my local tyre guy to get my tracking setup and was really surprised when he said he couldn't do it with his equipment, it needed some specific tool and pointed me to a place that's a fair trek from me, what's going on? Anyone else had this? I'm not keen on the Kwik fit etc mob but any...

Anyone fitted rear belts to a Danbury?

That's interesting, I always thought these were the back seats and two other bits of wood I have are for the buddy seats. So I don't need these pieces at all? I'll have to google to find some pics. Thanks Well fark me, I found a great thread on here with loads of pics, you are spot on, Ive...

    Where to route cables

My LB is on the opp side to the main battery, the +ve goes across the top of the engine bay (where the lights wires run) through the same grommet as the main loom, follows the main loom and runs with it through the metal conduit up to the font, Ive gone up into the cab through another hole via a...

    First attempt at Crossover Resto

Not much to report on this weekend but I recovered the two panels that go either side of the back of the bus with a plain black vinyl, they came up very nicely. I need to make a new boot/hatch panel and do the same and decide what to do with the panel above the engine as I've just chucked the OG...

Anyone fitted rear belts to a Danbury?

I fitted rear belts to my Danbury recently and when I put the interior back in the rear seat wood goes directly over the mountings in the rear bulkhead so I've had to remove them again! I've put two pic's below although at the moment the mounting holes are covered with insulation so can't be...

fitting vertical powder extinguisher in engine bay

Hmmm, I offered up the extinguisher today and its a bit too tall for the engine bay, see the pic below. I'm not sure its a good idea to have the pipe bent over so much. I haven't fitted it yet, I might end up looking for a refund, undecided.

Brand new Brazilian slash rear bumper part modified for '72

I bought this brand new brazilian slash cut style rear bumper for my Crossover and started to modify it to fit. I removed the inner mountings (these newer bumpers mount differently to our EB's) and cut the square holes in the correct place that only the '72 crossers use. I've not cut the holes...

Very rough '72 Crossover rear bumper

I've got a very rough, twisted and horrible repaired '72 only rear bumper. Its not pretty but if you are mad enough to want to try and fix it or want the rat look someone might be interested. It's a bit twisted, one end is higher than the other and it has been knocked and has some bad repairs...

Very nice solution, mine is worn horribly and would like to have a bolt on solution if available.

    First attempt at Crossover Resto

Since getting the old girl back on the road I've been useless at taking photo's on the remaining work and posting updates on here, so time for an update with what photo's I did remember to take. For the flooring I decided to stick with the way Danbury did it, a thin (8mm) floor that brings the...

    rust proofing in midlands?

Yep it was an eye watering 500 quid for the full treatment they offer. Clean, underseal and cavity wax. It took them almost 2 days and the end result looks good. Only downside is doing anything under the bus is horrible and sticky now!

    anyone running red9 wishbone kit?

That's good to hear, good to know it was worth all that effort! I drove from Gatwick to Lincolnshire last weekend with my floppy steering on the Sunday that was uber windy, combined with how flat Lincolnshire is and how flippin straight the roads are it was a horrible experience, my wife was...
