Thanks Guys, I wondered why I couldn't find parts or diagrams. Oh well looks like time to fabricate something decent to do the job.
Thanks again,

Hi Guys, In my never ending quest to actually finish the bus , I have now noticed that nothing is holding the heater cable 'outers' to anything.(this is under the dash near to the heater levers) There is a bracket of sorts but the outers are just..............there? Does anyone have a...
Hi all, after stripping out the wiper mech I have managed to goose the spindle outers. Does anyone have any spare - the brass bits? Would also take complete spindles even if stiff or siezed etc? Thanks for any help.

Hi busdiver, The lever and clamp are welded together so treat as one piece. The bolt has to be removed completely and then prise the gap open and use plenty of WD40. The lever is on a multi-spline arm and is a very tight fit, before you remove it make a note of how the spring is fitted as this...
Thanks Guys, I'm too old to be revving things now so looks like I can keep the carbs and replace the 30mm vents with something larger. Thanks again.

Thanks for the reply Trikky2, was thinking of something between 1.9 - 2.2. What do you think? I know Sparkywig was asking similar questions about 40's on a bigger engine too!

Ok Guys, You know best so here goes. What is the difference between 36 and 40 idf's? I understand that they both have 40mm throttles so why can't I fit 32mm vents and use them on a bigger engine?

Hi John, Mine has a date stamp on top of the case, between the generator stand and the case halve join. The original engine number is still intact but it was done about 16/17 years ago so not sure if their system has changed at all.

Thanks Trikky, doesn't really help as I think that diagram is for one of the larger carbs. I have had a weber book for 30 years but there's only info on 40's and bigger in it.

Hi everyone, I'm just about to clean up my 36 idf's and need to remove the chokes. On the larger idf's they are held in place with a lock screw and nut, but can't see anything similar on these. Anybody know how they come out?
