Good point Whistler. Yes I checked them all thanks ... all are nice and solid except the front left driver's side which is rotten through and will get replaced. They look like a bugger to replace so I'm glad 5 of 6 are good.

Ordered both inner and outer rocker panels from canadian supplier, received one wrong inner. Called to have the proper one shipped ... then they sent a Beetle heater channel :roll: Third shipment came through ... good thing I wasn't in a hurry.

What he said! But unless you know for sure that the cavity you are insulating is sealed from moisture entering in other areas, then let it breath! Just like in a house, trapped moisture leads to rot.

My '68 has enough rust in all four jack points that I either want to replace or remove them. I will never use the factory jack so my question is ... are the jack points integral to the structure of the chassis in any way?

Personally I like the top half white and bottom half coloured more than just the roof white. The body lines were made for it 8)
