My '68 has enough rust in all four jack points that I either want to replace or remove them. I will never use the factory jack so my question is ... are the jack points integral to the structure of the chassis in any way?

No, and most people use the beam or torsion housing to jack up using a trolley jack .... but, when you come to sell, it will obviously not have been repaired correctly, and will affect the price etc etc

Good point Whistler. Yes I checked them all thanks ... all are nice and solid except the front left driver's side which is rotten through and will get replaced. They look like a bugger to replace so I'm glad 5 of 6 are good.

I'd recommend using the autocraft panels we sell rathe than any other quality as they are a much better quality and fit, they do a combined outrigger and jacking point for each corner which is correct too.
