What Colour Red should I paint my van in?

Hi,

I have a 71 bay, red and white, what colour red would be best? does anyone know what the orginal colour red is called?

Rather like Montana Red L30H usually found on model years 69 & 70 or more for your model year Chianti Red L31H model years 71 & 72.

Thats great thanks for your replies. I have decided to keep to original colour.

Would you paint the red up to the roof, and then do the roof white? Or top half white then red half way up?

I'd go with how it is originally sprayed but it's your van your choice..!!

My van is Chianti red by the way..!! 8)

Personally I like the top half white and bottom half coloured more than just the roof white. The body lines were made for it 8)
