I feared this was the case, it looked like I may be on the phone to machine 7 in the morning buying a new crank!

So I've measured my crankshaft and I have got, 39.93' 54.9, 54.94, 54.9. Are these within allowable range, I've just bought a set of standard bearings, my engine guy seems to think that they are perfectly fine but I thought I'd ask the forum for a second opinion

I need a little bit of welding on my bus, battery tray and small piece on the front floor, I have the replacement parts but I wondered if anyone could recommend a welder that knew what the were doing and could replace the parts. I'm in the north London area.

Having sealed my engine completely up, I've just had the delight of taking it all apart again because the oil pump is catching on the bolts of my scat c25. I did tell the people I bought the pump off that I was fitting a 3 bolt cam but I must have got over there head. Does anyone know of a good...

So to continue the drama of this engine, I have installed the new oil pump and there is clearance on the lower gear to the front cover but the top gear just touches. What's the best way to reduce the clearance?

Thanks, will putting the fly wheel on reduce the end play slightly even without the shims? I'm standing over the engine with my scanners about to take it all apart
