Your a cleaning demon and I'm very jealous. ;)

ahhh feck! i need a new exhaust....whats best?!?

I bought mine purely because my old one was to loud and after towing a caravan tow oktoberfest from Redruth I'm very pleased. The caravan reflects the noise back at the Bus but there was none of the drone of my old exhaust and once you get up to speed the rasp from accelerating drops off. The...

It has 5 bids!!! You need to report it a few more times or some poor person is going to be seen right off.

ahhh feck! i need a new exhaust....whats best?!?

I fitted a Bluebird stock style stainless exhaust, went on well and sounds great. So much quiter than the Mondo I took off purely for the fact that it was to loud. All anyone can see is a small round standard looking pipe on one side which is now dirty and disguises the fact that I have a...

    123 Ignition distributor.

Had my Dells tweaked the other day and Bus is running well currently with the 123 on. The guy that tuned it seemed impressed with the rock steady timing mark when he had the timing gun on it!! I may try advance curve number 6 after Oktoberfest to see how it performs on that one, I'll have plenty...

I found this on holiday in Rhodes.

We had a day and a half of light rain in 2 weeks and even that surprised the locals. If you can find some of thoses vans I'll be surprised, we drove some random roads in the search for old cars. On the raining day we had nothing better to do. If you see the white Renault 4 in a hedge south of...

Found that one, the pick-up is hiding in the bush behind, didn't get a chance to get a better picture as its a busy junction. 8)

Treat yourself to a cake if you know what the car in front of it is. Everything else was late and no splits anywhere. :)

Garden Find RHD C/O Devon - Lots of Pictures

An amazing find, I'm very jealous. I have a 1972 tintop with a red interior but with 8 seats. You've done a great job cleaning it up but don't forget to spend some time on the engine, especially the fuel lines, I think most people on here will say its one of the first things you should be doing...

    123 Ignition distributor.

Timed to 10 degrees now. Running nice. Its got the new exhaust on now, quiter and a lot smoother. Happy bunny. Might save my pennies and buy one for the Buggy. :D
  16. Waxer

    Hello, I'm new.

Fitted a bluebird customs stainless stock style exhaust today. Its quieter but still a little tinny, I'm hoping it will soot up and quieten down a little. I still have a little bit of a back fire I think, I may remove the Dell's and fit new gaskets to the inlet manifolds and see if that sorts it...

    123 Ignition distributor.

10 at idle and 7.5 static? How can you have two different times? Do you pick one and stick with it? Mines 7.5 at tickover, I may try 10 at tickover and check what full advance is. I might just select number 6 on the advances curves as well and see what thats like!! haha Cheers

    123 Ignition distributor.

Ash, how did you set the timing on your 123? Did you do it static only or did you time it with a gun? What did you time it to? 7.5, 5, TDC or something else? What engine is it on? Mines at 7.5 BTDC but is feeling a bit retarded, I may set it static again and just see how it does, ignore the gun...

    123 Ignition distributor.

Only two fairly local drives so far but no complaints, drives smoother, pulling well. I'm tempted, like Ash, to experiment with other advance curves but my Buggy is more important at the moment so working on that more. :D

    123 Ignition distributor.

Yeah, I think my engine must be a replacement meican engine, it came over in a US bus and was put in the Bus I bought in replacement to the one that was in it that the owner wanted to keep. Did you do all of them and settled on 6 or did you get to 6, like it and stop? I need to work on the carbs...
