If it is juddery low down the rev range but takes off when you floor it try putting larger emulsion tubes in the carbs it will give it more fuel and make it drive better I just had a similar problem with mine. Also did you break it in at 2000rpm for 30mins? My build was 1641cc full flowed...

No coil was fine I fitted a relay on the stater and it’s been fine so I can only assume it was to much resistance on the starter wire

Hi all I’ve got twin carbs on my bus and whilst I’ve got the engine out I want to run the fuel pipe behind the tinware to make it look neater. Where do you run yours and what do you fasten it to please do you use cohline fuel pipe or metal with cohline at either end thanks Phil

Hi I used seals from dormobile and was going to fit them my self but a chap near me is a vw fan and the manager at my local national windscreen centre I took it to them and they charged me £40 for both windows and guaranteed no leeks. That was a couple of years ago and they have been fine 🤞

My cohline pipe is now in its 10th year I still check it twice a year and still not a crack in sight 🤞and I got a new length of pipe that I’ve had for 5 years still in its wrapper ready to replace the old stuff 😂😂😂😂

I’ve got 71 dorma with a 1641 in it I’ve taken the engine and gearbox out to sort a few oil leaks and to do a few tweaks( eg new cam slightly porting the head etc) and to sort the rust out above the gearbox area so .......... my gearbox has always whined slightly which has never bothered me but...

Hi all I wouldn’t tap into the center pipe unless it’s very well insulated because you’ll lose a lot of heat and your heater will run flat out and flatten your battery really quickly and use a lot of fuel, I have a dorma with a diesel aberspacher and mine is in the cupboard infront of the rear...
