Twin carb fuel pipe location

Hi all I’ve got twin carbs on my bus and whilst I’ve got the engine out I want to run the fuel pipe behind the tinware to make it look neater.
Where do you run yours and what do you fasten it to please do you use cohline fuel pipe or metal with cohline at either end thanks Phil

What type of engine? Is the fuel pump stock?

Sorry for the lack of info my heads a shed as usual. it’s a 1641cc with a standard fuel pump pal

Here's a few pics of mine passing through a hole to the left of the firewall, people also pass through the tinware using a preformed metal tube to prevent rubbing/chaffing of hose as it passes through
