Your pump wouldn't survive a wrong size pushrod. And even if it did the carb would regulate the fuel flow not the pump.

You're going to have a bad time without the servo. I used a 944 master and a golf 1 servo. Not very expensive and works good. I even have a spare 944 master if you want ;)

You don't need additional cooling as long as you make sure the standard one is working ok. Dual carbs do come with extra noise. That's maybe worth to consider? Why do you opt for 1641? Becaus it's the largest slip-in I guess right?

check your oil. Is there petrol in it? Sounds like a leaky pump or line to me.

Do you run dropped spindles? Cause if you do, prepare for some rubbing. I've got cookies on mine and even without spacers I'm rubbing in tight corners on braking. Rule of thumb in my bus, brake or steer, don't do both... :lol:

Search the webs... I'd opt for an good original one seccond hand rather then a cheap repro one. You could go electronic too.

I you are stock, use a stock carb. Volkswagen has done a lot of research on this, if there was a better carb for your engine they would have fitted one. ;) (with the stock setup obviously). I would reccommend stock dizzy, clean and set the carb. Check timing, check ingintion, check sparks etc...

Bigger tyres do come with their own problems though. You either get a 'rake' or need to mout bigger ones in front to. If you do your speedo will be off big time. Also, bigger tires means the car is slower from the line. There is no 'magical solution' you need to tweak and find out what's best...

You're going to have problems in the front as well. You could use later wheelhubs.
