Looking for Crossover towbar have late bay towbar for sale

Evening all, Anybody want to sell me a towbar that'll fit a crossover with a VS exhaust with the tail pipe that goes across the back from left to right? I've just bought one that was supposed to fit but doesn't. I therefore also have a Watling towbar with electric hookup for a late bay for sale...

71 X-over bay, moonraker interior, swaps for T4/5 poptop WHY

Reluctant sale/swap for T4/5 pop top with cash my way for Old Nell. Old Nell has been lovingly restored form the rusty old bucket she was, in to the lovely camper she is now. I've been working on her for around the past 4 years and no expense has been spared. She currently stands me at about...

    Front seats for 72 Danbury

Good morning all, Whats the chances that one of you out there has a pair of red (if possible) original Early Bay front seats sitting around gathering dust? I was going to repair and reupholster my seats, but to be honest it'd be easier to just buy a new set if there are a pair available. Mine...

Good man, I made it as far as 16 year point and jacked for the circuit life. Often wish I'd just sucked it in and cracked on. Hindsight and all that.

    Urgent help needed

Don't worry, you can have the barrels matched. Pretty sure Heritage do them, or if you find an Old VW spanner monkey, they'll know how to do it, but I understand that it's quite a fiddly job. Good luck!

    Sliding door lubrication

I use clear silicon gel. Its a plumbing thing. Its generally used in wet areas like shower door wheels, etc and its not dirty like other greases.

    cigarette lighter socket

Check the fuses first, that's easiest, then trace the wiring back to either a junction or earth and make sure they are complete. As I understand them, they are just two terminals shorting each other out when you use them, which creates heat so nothing particularly mechanical to go wrong. Good luck.

    Urgent help needed

The steering lock may be locked on and taking the pressure off of the wheel by pulling it away from the locked position a bit might free the key. Sounds like the barrels buggered to me though.

Shocks bottoming out? Is that even possible?

Thanks Clem, I'm hoping the shocks will square it away. StuF, the drive shafts were hitting the chassis, hence the notching. The notching seemed to sort out the majority of the banging but it now bangs on downward motion rather than the upward... does that make sense?

Shocks bottoming out? Is that even possible?

Yep, I'd go with that. TBF I never said it was 1 spline... I said it had been dropped 3 inches. :msn4: I'll have a look and see what shocks I can get when I get home next week. I do love the stance, but the banging drives me mental. As for wheel changing, yep, it's emotional! :shock...
