As a relative newbie, I speak from reading (John Muir - How to Keep your VW Alive) and my mechanics advice purely; I get the impression many 1600 engines are running around with much less power than they left the factory with any way. This is due to the original oil bath filters getting removed...

Hey all, After finally sourcing an early bay stand and oil bath air filter, I've gotten in there and rediscovered my crossover van has the fixed rear valance and therefore is essentially a late bay as far as these are concerned! :oops Can anyone help rescue me here and sell me a good nick late...

Tonto were these for an early or late? Suddenly stuck looking for a late bay as it turned out my early bay filter and stand were wrong for it! Doh! :oops:

Will that tin fit the back of a 71 Crossover do you think?
