Morning all,

I've been trying to find the correct engine lid seal for my 71 (09) crossover, which was missing one when I bought her last year, however I need some advice, as the 68-71 is not the right dimensions ( http://www.justkampers.com/211-827-711-b-engine-lid-seal-68-71-best-quality.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; ), and the the later 72-79 seal ( http://www.justkampers.com/211-827-711-c-engine-lid-seal-best-quality-vw-t2-bay-1972-1979.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; ) is the right shape, but there's no chance in hell i'll ever shut the engine lid with that mass in there, however i shoe horn it in. On the later seal, it seems like the engine lid is catching along the bottom, about 5" off either end of the lock at the bottom, but is catching in the corners too. Is this just another low quality Just Kampers offering, or should I be looking for yet another seal for my bus?

Is there a thinner seal in the later sizing anyone has had any luck with? Can't keep shelling out for seals like this

Cheers fellas!
M
