Sorry dude I don't mean to panic you. Width and diameter don't really effect each other but 14" stock wheels have a set width if that makes sense and 205's, i thought, would bulge considerably over the edges. Although the tyre is the right diameter eg 14, the tyres are too wide for the wheel...

My monza 4 tip (no I didn't just swear) is till going strong after three years :D Its sliencer box is rusted but no holes :) And and added bonus I hear when they do begin to go flames come out the back so I can change my username to.... flame boy :lol:

Just my humble opinion here as a K&L advocate... you could probably K&l yourself up for £850 - £900 all in, including drum brakes and backing plates. That would give you 3.5" dropped spindles and a beam that would go down 5" to 6" and narrowed by 4" and the ride will be sweet. On the bj...

I don't think you can do this dude :( The diameter of the tubes are different. The bolt pattern for a 68 is the same as a 64-67 split so you bolt a split beam straight on without needing to change the end plates. You could maybe make up custom bushes for the narrower K&L pin arms to go in the...

Cheers guys - thanks :) Underside is pretty solid - scrapping all the old underseal off at the moment to get a proper look at the condition under there but I think there won't be too many surprises. Going to paint the whole underside in por15 so it will last me long time :D

Anywhere sell them in the UK? I know wagenswest does but that means I'll have to get them shipped. Does anyone make em? Looks just like a thick piece of sheet steel that shouldn't be too hard to cut and drill. Anyone else thinking this? :?

I'm looking to get a narrowed and lowered beam for my 1970 bay... I saw some guy the other day and he said he was going for a split king pin beam as it does away with ball joints... Who sells these... anyone? Plus I am I right in thinking you need new spindles, trailing arms and probably drum...
