Île de Ré

here for a week, been to Île d’Oleron a couple of times, so thought we’d try the upmarket one, 16 euros just to get on the island. Dedicated cycle routes everywhere and cars give way at cycle crossings…….mostly
Easy to see why Parisians have holiday homes here but it takes serious money to own one now.
Saw this little beauty in St Martin de Ré today, nice to see the 1600 marque

Lovely pic of the Porsche. We went to Ile de Re a few years ago and really enjoyed it. In fact I love the French west coast altogether !

We had a few days there a few years back. We’d come up from the South, had a hotel in La Rochelle and then stayed there before a drive to Paris. Was a great place and so relaxed. Bridge crossing meant we didn’t leave until we had to!

Anyway, have a fab time and safe travels.

Looks great. I climbed the lighthouse as well, I was the only person there at the time I think it was too hot for most people
