1302S gear box

Hi,

I know a few people are after these and the point is to find one with a 3.8 final ratio but is a box with the AH 4.125 still a decent eough improvement as i've found one from a 1302s with this ratio for £50

Its an improvement and cheap......the sale of the bus box will more than pay for it....

Someone mentioned i could get it refurbed and have a higher final ratio fitted is that true?

Yer i thought that to not much point buying a lesser ratio box then paying **** loads to have it altered and i guess you dont know how it will hold up to!

Is there a problem with bug boxes not being as strong as the bay box?

So far i've found 5 with the AH code at the 4.125 ratio.

Really wanted the 3.8 Ratio but hard to find

No same bullet proof construction 3 rib box later ones came with the 5 and 6 rib.....you'll be fine I think Ego has a box from a 1302s and hes happy....

found a guy off vzi who will do a full recon for 250 might be worth it in the long run you recon?

If he can fit the 3.8 ratio final it would be interesting to get a price.....

CA/CC 5.375.... and the mountainous CB/CD 5.587

so 4.1 is a 1/4 improvement then which aint to bad at all really!

i have at least 2 1303s boxes (AT codes), possibly even 3. like bloody busses, you wait all for one and three come along at once :lol: .

I'm picking two up at the weekend locally and the third is still in England. If anyone wants it, PM me and i'll relay the dudes number (if the boxes i'm looking at this weekend are in good shape). He seems genuine enough and i think hes in the lancashire area but im not sure.

there was a complete 1303s that went for £150 i just missed it but theres 2 good boxes i think. dave ill give you the guys number on saturday he was looking £80 + £40 to post and there was only 30K miles on the box apparently.
