I have just bought a 1970 bus with a 1776 motor it. Would it be worth changing the kadron carbs?

Kadrons are great if you like the power and aren't too worried about the fuel consumption. If you want the best balance between power and economy I'd go for either Dell'orto DRLA 36s or maybe 40s. The equivilent Weber IDF would be a very close second.

i have dell'ortos 36 on my 1776 engin.

the guy who adjusted my engine told me, that dell'ortos or webber 40 were better.

if you plan to buy some used carbs, be aware, if they are modified for a use on a vw-engin.
if they are still prepaired for alfa-engines, maybe this link can help you for the right settings

Yes go with two dellortos 40s, start with:

Ø32 venturies
180 air
130 / 135 main jets
60 idle jets
####.2 emulsion tubes
50 recovery jets

After my 1835cc just gone wrong ive decided to drop tp 1776cc with twin 40s

will let you know the outcome is as it should be built very soon :D

40's will be fine for a 1776. You can get away with 36's too though withought too much trouble.
