Restored this in 2014, thought may be of some use to someone

As arrived, 1964 model, structurally good, interior has badly damaged cupboards, rot from sink etc

Pictures make it look better than it was, everything except the seat bases was a mess/cracked/rotten

Stripdown started

Wanted the cupboards a bit lighter so opted for light plywood

Used the old ones as templates

Being a smooth model, got the van vinyl wrapped, quick and easy and not too expensive

Used some old school desks for the tops

Arcade molding for the fronts, original doors add a nice contrast (looked better in real life than photos)

Has to build the top cupboards from scratch as they were missing

Total budget excluding purchase price was around £1500 including the wrap which cost the most.

Pucks, if structurally sound are very easy to change/work on. I like things original, but if its in bad state, why not change to the way you want?

That looks like a great job. Well done. Whats next.

Just the bus at present, life kinda got in the way for everything else.

Still have my bug and bus so happy at present!

I do fancy building another teardrop loosely based on my first one but I think that will be a few years away. Maybe a mini airstream, bit like hayburner lads are doing at present. The chassis they built at waboo looks awesome. Heres my old TD anyway
